Welcome to MCA's The Brick Gallery!

Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), a nonprofit, 501(c)3 was established in 2001, with its inaugural effort, the Horse Fever public art project. MCA’s mission is to champion, convene, and create opportunities for artists and arts organizations. MCA supports activities relating to the arts, historical and scientific museums, and specific education through grants, advocacy, fundraising, and partnerships.

MCA has donated over $1.5 million to the arts and other charitable organizations in Ocala/Marion County and established a Cultural Endowment fund of $900,000. MCA has supported local arts organizations with over $310,000 through its annual Cultural Grant Awards.

MCA also operates Brick City Center for the Arts, a popular art gallery, located in historic downtown Ocala. Monthly rotating exhibits feature art by regional artists. The venue, and its adjacent courtyard, is a sought after rental for special events.

Kathleen Karol

Kathleen Karol is an award winning fine art pastel artist who finds joy in the stories she sees unfold before her on a daily basis, particularly when she's out hiking in nature. Recreating those stories with her art is her passion. She is a member of the Pastel Society of Central Florida where she has served on the Board as Vice President and is currently the Exhibit Chairperson, a position she has held for several years.
