Linda lopez

Linda Lopez is originally from New York and currently living in Lake Mary Florida for over 20 years. Linda enjoys sharing photos taken on travels with social media. Linda has been an artist all her life and has experimented with a variety of artist mediums. She incorporated photography into her world about 10 years ago. Originally Linda took photos as reference for paintings, but some photos would spark an artistic interest so now Linda turns them into photo encaustic works of art. Recently retired and no children at home she now has her own studio space. Linda brought together her love of photography with encaustic. She will use her photos as transfers or printed on rice paper or matte photo paper with encaustic wax and other artist mediums. Expressing her vision in this way has brought her a sense of peacefulness and purpose. Encaustic medium (beeswax & demar resin) has awakened her creativity and allowed her the artistic freedom she had been seeking. Incorporating nature, landscape and objects with encaustic has become Linda’s passion.
